BLS/ALS/PALS/NALS
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) uses a scenario-based approach to develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills that drive better patient outcomes. Covers breathing and cardiac emergencies - including CPR, AED, and obstructed airway - for adult, child, and infant patients. Focused on both individual providers and teams.
Throughout the ALS (Advanced Life Support) course, you'll learn advanced life support assessment, as well as how to best manage respiratory emergencies, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) protocols for acute arrhythmias, cardiac arrest (including post-cardiac arrest care), acute coronary syndromes and acute stroke within or outside of a medical facility setting.
Throughout your PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) course, you'll learn to assess, recognize and provide high-quality care to pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening medical emergencies, including shock, cardiac and respiratory events, as well as how to provide care after the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) during a resuscitation effort. In addition, our course will challenge your critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and help improve your teamwork skills to provide better patient care.
During the NALS (Neontal Advanced Life Support) course, students will learn how to assess, recognize, and care for neonatal patients in an emergency and critical care setting. This includes pharmacological management, advanced airway management, respiration and ventilation, and well as monitoring of vital signs.
All resuscitation suite programs are CAPCE accredited for CME with certifications validated through Red Cross or American Heart Association (ACLS/NRP for AHA). All courses offered regularly with blended learning and instructor led formats ranging from 5-12 hours in length. Students receive certifications valid for two years upon completion.
