Service Description

The Certified Tactical Medical Provider (CTMP) program is designed with the intention of creating and ensuring competence in providers who may work in a tactical environment in a medical role. On X is solely responsible for the design and delivery of the CTMP program. The goal of the program is to allow tactical providers to approach hostile environments where medical intervention is required with an all-hazards strategy to minimize loss of human life. The program is designed to be more accessible and cost-effective than other tactical medical training & certification programs on the market. The intended audience for the CTMP program is pre-hospital emergency medical personnel, fire service personnel, law enforcement personnel, military personnel, other public safety employees, and prepared civilians. All able-bodied individuals meeting the course prerequisites are eligible to participate in the CTMP program. In order to meet the requirements for certification each candidate must participate in the full course, pass all practical exam components, and pass the written final exam. The course is designed to be taught over two, eight-hour days, with two blocks of four- hour instructions each, and a break for mealtimes in between instruction blocks. The course will include a didactic component, a practical skill educational component, a practical scenario component, as well as a practical and written final exam. To be successfully certified candidates will need to attend the entire didactic component, participate in all skills stations and scenarios, and finally pass the written exam and practical exam. Candidates must achieve a passing score of 85% on the written final exam. Candidates must complete the practical skills examination without any critical fails and accumulation of the minimum amount of points.
