Rehab For The Fireground

This free and self-paced course provides firefighters, EMS personnel, and incident commanders with practical knowledge and skills necessary to establish, operate, and participate in fireground rehabilitation and medical operations. Students will learn to recognize heat stress, dehydration, overexertion, and medical emergencies while implementing effective rehabilitation procedures consistent with NFPA 1584 recommendations and current best practices. Emphasis is placed on real-world operations, responder safety, hydration, cooling and warming methods, medical monitoring, and return-to-duty decision making.
