Training Accessibility & Accommodation
Emergency education should be accessible to everyone.
The On X Dynamics Public Safety Foundation believes that every individual deserves a meaningful opportunity to learn lifesaving skills, develop confidence, and participate in our programs. Students requiring accommodations should contact via phone or email, and can also request accommodations here: Student Accommodation Request Form
We are committed to providing an inclusive, respectful learning environment and working with students with disabilities to identify reasonable accommodations that support their full participation.
Our Commitment to Accessible Training
On X Dynamics welcomes students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning needs.
Our training programs combine classroom education, practical skills, and hands-on instruction. We recognize that students may require different forms of support to participate effectively.
We work individually with students to identify appropriate accommodations while maintaining the essential educational, safety, and certification requirements of each course.
Accessibility & Accommodation Options
Depending on individual needs, course requirements, and available resources, accommodations may include:
-
Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing Support: Qualified sign language interpreting, captioning, written instructional materials, visual demonstrations, or other effective communication assistance.
-
Visual Accessibility: Accessible digital materials, enlarged text, verbal descriptions, or other appropriate instructional adjustments.
-
Mobility & Physical Accessibility: Classroom arrangements, accessible training locations, equipment positioning, and reasonable adjustments to instructional activities.
-
Learning & Cognitive Accessibility: Additional instructional clarification, alternative presentation methods, structured learning support, or other reasonable adjustments.
-
Individualized Arrangements: Additional instructional support or alternative scheduling when appropriate and mutually agreed upon.
-
Accommodations are evaluated individually. Not every option will be necessary or appropriate for every course or student.
Requesting an Accommodation
Students who anticipate needing accessibility assistance are encouraged to contact On X Dynamics as early as possible, preferably before registering or sufficiently in advance of their scheduled class.
Advance communication helps our team coordinate appropriate resources, particularly when specialized services or equipment may be necessary. (Two weeks prior to your course is preferred).
There is no universal advance-notice deadline for requesting accommodations. Requests received shortly before a class, or during a class, will also be considered, and we will work to provide effective assistance to the extent possible.
When contacting us, please include:
-
The course you wish to attend and its scheduled date or location.
-
The accommodation or assistance you are requesting.
-
Your preferred method of communication.
Students are not required to disclose a medical history to begin an accommodation request.
Hands-On Training & Certification Requirements
Certain On X Dynamics programs include practical skill demonstrations, competency evaluations, physical activities, or requirements established by third-party certifying organizations.
We will consider reasonable accommodations that allow students to demonstrate required competencies without unnecessarily changing the essential nature of the course or compromising legitimate safety requirements.
Where a requested accommodation cannot be provided as proposed, our team will discuss other effective options when available.
